BIOGRAPHIE

Antoine Dutaillis est un chef d’orchestre, pianiste et chef de chant français.

 

Au cours de la saison 2025-26, artiste en résidence à l'Académie de l'Opéra de Paris, il y dirige la musique de scène de Roméo et Juliette et il est chef de chant sur Traviata (productions de l'Opéra Bastille). Il assure la direction musicale et les arrangements de plusieurs concerts à l'Amphithéâtre de l'Opéra Bastille, l'Opéra de Reims ou encore Châtenay-Malabry (La Piscine). Il est chef d'orchestre assistant pour La Finta Giardinera de Mozart (MC 93 Bobigny) et chef d'orchestre assistant de Thomas Hengelbrock (Théâtre des Champs-Elysées). Il participe à des tournées au Brésil et en Guyane. En juillet, dans le cadre du Festival d'art lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence, il est chef assistant de l'Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée, pour la deuxième année consécutive. Il est par ailleurs invité à donner des récitals de piano, notamment au Festival des Arcs.
 
En tant que chef d'orchestre, il a déjà eu l'occasion de diriger de nombreux orchestres, en France et à l’étranger, tels que l'Orchestre National de Lille, l'Orchestre National de Cannes, l'Orchestre de Picardie. Il a été chef assistant de Semyon Bychkov (Chœur et Orchestre de Paris), d'Alain Altinoglu (La Monnaie, Bruxelles), de Michael Schønwandt (Orchestre Français des Jeunes), d’Alexandre Bloch (Orchestre National de Lille), ou encore de Laurence Equilbey (Accentus et Insula). Dans le domaine de l'opéra, il a assisté Alexander Briger (Le Tour d’écrou, coproduction Philharmonie de Paris). Il a aussi dirigé une version de concert de La Flûte Enchantée (Valenciennes). Il a été demi-finaliste du Concours International de Direction Siemens-Hallé. 
 
Il s'est formé au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) dans la classe d'Alain Altinoglu où il a obtenu en 2022 un Master de Direction d’orchestre, mention très bien à l’unanimité. Il a complété sa formation en profitant des conseils de Peter Eötvös, Lawrence Foster, Mikko Franck, Nicolas Pasquet, Bertrand de Billy, David Reiland, Arie Van Beek, Pascal Rophé. Et en dirigeant des orchestres comme l'Ensemble Intercontemporain, Hallé Orchestra (Manchester), Netherlands Philharmonic (Amsterdam), North Hungary Symphonic Orchestra (Miskolc), Silesian Philharmonic (Katowice), Orchestre National de Metz, Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Marseille, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Nancy.

 

Musicien complet, il est également titulaire de trois autres Masters du CNSMDP, tous obtenus avec mention très bien, en Direction de Chant (Erika Guiomar), Accompagnement piano (Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Reiko Hozu) et Écriture (Jean-François Zygel pour l'Harmonie, Thierry Escaich pour le Contrepoint), ainsi que des Prix d’Orchestration et d’Analyse. Il occupe actuellement un poste de pianiste-accompagnateur au CNSMDP.
 
Ouvert au spectacle vivant sous toutes ses formes, il travaille souvent pour le théâtre. Il a notamment accompagné de nombreux spectacles du Hall de la Chanson (CDN) en partenariat avec le Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique (CNSAD), comme pianiste et arrangeur. Au cinéma, il a participé à la direction musicale du film En Fanfare (2,5 millions d'entrées).



Désireux de partager sa passion pour la musique avec des publics multiples, il a dirigé un chœur amateur, issu de la diversité, avec des musiciens de l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris pour la création de Ballade, de Thierry Escaich. (3e Scène diffusion). Au Zénith de Paris, il a dirigé Le Grand Bal Modern Style réunissant de nombreux chœurs de lycéens d'Île-de-France. Depuis 2023, il dirige l'orchestre Démos Metz Moselle Est qui œuvre pour la démocratisation culturelle par la pratique musicale.

Antoine Dutaillis is a French conductor, pianist, and vocal coach. 
Highlights from the 2025 26 season, as artist-in-residence at the Paris Opera Academy, include conducting the stage music for Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet and working as vocal coach for La Traviata (productions at the Opéra Bastille). He was also in charge of musical direction and arrangements for several concerts at the Amphitheatre of the Opéra Bastille, the Opéra de Reims, and Châtenay-Malabry (La Piscine). He is the assistant conductor for Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera (MC 93 Bobigny) and he assisted Thomas Hengelbrock (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées). He participated in tours in Brazil and French Guiana. In July, as part of the Aix-en-Provence Festival of Lyric Art, he is the assistant conductor of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, for the second consecutive year. He is also invited to give piano recitals, notably at the Les Arcs Festival.
As a conductor, he has already had the opportunity to lead numerous orchestras in France and abroad, including the Lille National Orchestra, the Cannes National Orchestra, and the Picardy Orchestra. He has worked as assistant conductor to Semyon Bychkov (Choir and Orchestra of Paris), Alain Altinoglu (La Monnaie, Brussels), Michael Schønwandt (French Youth Orchestra), Alexandre Bloch (Lille National Orchestra), and Laurence Equilbey (Accentus and Insula). In the field of opera, he assisted Alexander Briger (The Turn of the Screw, a co-production with the Philharmonie de Paris). He also conducted a concert version of The Magic Flute (Valenciennes). He was a semi-finalist in the Siemens-Hallé International Conducting Competition.
He was trained at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) in the class of Alain Altinoglu, where he obtained a Master's degree in Orchestral Conducting in 2022, graduating with highest honors. He furthered his training under the guidance of Peter Eötvös, Lawrence Foster, Mikko Franck, Nicolas Pasquet, Bertrand de Billy, David Reiland, Arie Van Beek, and Pascal Rophé. He has conducted orchestras such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain, Hallé Orchestra (Manchester), Netherlands Philharmonic (Amsterdam), North Hungary Symphonic Orchestra (Miskolc), Silesian Philharmonic (Katowice), Orchestre National de Metz, Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Marseille, and Orchestre de l’Opéra de Nancy.
In addition to his conducting, he also holds three other Master's degrees from the CNSMDP, all obtained with highest honors, in Vocal Coaching (Erika Guiomar), Piano Accompaniment (Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Reiko Hozu), and Composition (Jean-François Zygel for Harmony, Thierry Escaich for Counterpoint), as well as prizes in Orchestration and Analysis. He currently holds a position as a pianist-accompanist at the CNSMDP.
Open to art in all its forms, he often works in theater. He has notably accompanied numerous shows at the Hall de la Chanson (National Dramatic Center) in partnership with the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique (CNSAD), as a pianist and arranger. 
In film industry, he contributed to the musical direction of the movie En Fanfare (2.5 million admissions). 
Eager to share his passion for music with diverse audiences, he conducted an amateur choir, with members from various backgrounds, with musicians from the Paris Opera Orchestra for the premiere of Ballade by Thierry Escaich (3e Scène diffusion). At the Zénith in Paris, he conducted Le Grand Bal Modern Style, bringing together numerous high school choirs from the Île-de-France region. Since 2023, he has conducted the Démos Metz Moselle Est orchestra, which works to democratize culture through musical practice.
